INTEREST RATES

We are looking forward to re-opening the Wales Funding Programme shortly and to continue our work supporting public sector bodies achieve the net zero ambition by 2030.

The Wales Funding Programme, previously provided interest-free loans for energy saving and renewable energy project. It closed on Friday 8 March, 2024.

When the programme re-opens through Salix later this spring, a fixed interest rate of 2.05% APR will be applied. This is based on the government borrowing rate and reflects a change in HM Treasury rules. This addition will be applied to new loans for organisations without borrowing restrictions. Organisations that do not have borrowing powers are able to access the Invest to Save fund as before.

As part of its ongoing commitment to decarbonising the public sector, the Welsh Government alongside Salix has reviewed the technical scheme criteria, extending it to £350 tCO2e with a 10-year payback.

To support these changes, Salix is currently reviewing the implementation of interest rates and will re-open the scheme shortly.

Thank you for your interest in the programme and please do subscribe to Wales news updates through our website and view our Wales page (also translated in Welsh) for the latest information.

CYFRADDAU LLOG

Rydym yn edrych ymlaen at ailagor Rhaglen Ariannu Cymru yn fuan ac i barhau â’n gwaith i gefnogi'r sector cyhoeddus i gyflawni’r uchelgais sero net erbyn 2030.

Yn flaenorol, roedd Rhaglen Ariannu Cymru yn darparu benthyciadau di-log ar gyfer prosiectau arbed ynni ac ynni adnewyddadwy. Caeodd ddydd Gwener 8 Mawrth, 2024.

Pan fydd y rhaglen yn ailagor drwy Salix gwanwyn yma, bydd cyfradd llog sefydlog o 2.05% APR yn cael ei gymhwyso. Mae hyn yn seiliedig ar gyfradd benthyca’r llywodraeth ac mae’n adlewyrchu newid yn rheolau Trysorlys EM. Bydd yr ychwanegiad hwn yn cael ei gymhwyso i fenthyciadau newydd i sefydliadau heb gyfyngiadau benthyca. Bydd sefydliadau heb bwerau benthyca yn gallu cael mynediad i’r gronfa Buddsoddi i Arbed fel o’r blaen.

Fel rhan o’i hymrwymiad parhaus i ddatgarboneiddio’r sector cyhoeddus, mae Llywodraeth Cymru gyda Salix wedi adolygu meini prawf technegol y cynllun, gan ei ymestyn i £350 tCO2e gydag ad-daliad o 10 mlynedd.

I gefnogi'r newidiadau yma, mae Salix yn bresennol yn adolygu gweithrediad cyfraddau llog a bydd yn ailagor y cynllun yn fuan.
