Salix Finance Colleges Workshops to be held in October and November 2018

Salix is pleased to announce that it will be running its first ever Colleges workshops throughout October & November 2018.

The Colleges workshops are free to attend and are open to all Colleges in England. The workshops will cover how low carbon technologies can be used to reduce energy and carbon emissions and how Salix Finance’s interest-free loans can be utilised to help with the upfront costs of installations. This will be an ideal opportunity for Colleges to network with peers, share knowledge and best practice. Breakout sessions will also explore a number of key themes including the barriers that Colleges face in identifying and delivering energy efficiency projects and how Salix can support the sector with this.

Salix has been working with Further Education Colleges since 2009, offering finance from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to fund almost 2,000 energy efficiency projects. Examples of technologies installed include: Boiler controls, Building management systems, Boiler replacement, external LED Lighting, Heating and hot water, LED Lighting, Lighting controls, Lighting upgrades and VSDs / Motor Controls.

The projects have helped Colleges to improve the quality and provision of energy efficiency measures whilst reducing energy bills and enhancing the learning environment for students.
