Journey to a net zero Wales - Wales climate event returns

We are delighted to announce that our Journey to a net zero Wales events, will be taking place again this year.
The events will recognise, celebrate, and discuss the low-carbon initiatives that have been introduced by public sector bodies across Wales.
The first event will be held in Venue Cymru, Llandudno on 29 May with the second taking place on 5 June at Swansea University’s Bay Campus. These are stand-alone events, with the option to attend whichever is most convenient.
Organised by Salix Finance in conjunction with the Welsh Government and Welsh Government Energy Service, the all-day events have attracted speakers from across the country.They will discuss how to introduce innovative projects that reduce carbon emissions and costs in a bid to meet Wales’s ambitious 2030 net zero ambition. Speakers will be announced shortly.
The events are aimed at bringing public sector organisations together to highlight and discuss the challenges around decarbonisation.
They will include innovative examples of best practices across the sector and provide the opportunity for face-to-face networking with colleagues from across Wales.
This event is designed for public sector attendees - it is free to attend, but spaces are limited and must be reserved in advance.
Salix programme manager, Joan Dayap, said: “We are thrilled to be holding the Journey to a net zero Wales once more this year, following the success of last year’s events. We look forward to showcasing and celebrating the projects undertaken by the public sector across Wales in its efforts to decarbonise and strive for the 2030 net zero ambition.”

Rydym yn falch iawn o gyhoeddi y bydd ein digwyddiadau Taith i Gymru sero net yn cael eu cynnal eto eleni.
Bydd y digwyddiadau’n cydnabod, yn dathlu ac yn trafod y mentrau carbon isel sydd wedi’u cyflwyno gan gyrff sector cyhoeddus ledled Cymru.
Cynhelir y digwyddiad cyntaf yn Venue Cymru, Llandudno ar 29 Mai, a chynhelir yr ail ar 5 Mehefin ar Gampws y Bae yn Prifysgol Abertawe. Mae'r rhain yn ddigwyddiadau unigol, gyda'r opsiwn i fynychu pa un bynnag sydd fwyaf cyfleus.
Mae'r digwyddiadau, sydd wedi'u trefnu gan Salix Finance ar y cyd â Llywodraeth Cymru a Gwasanaeth Ynni Llywodraeth Cymru, wedi denu siaradwyr o bob rhan o'r wlad.
Byddant yn trafod sut i gyflwyno prosiectau arloesol sy'n lleihau allyriadau carbon a chostau mewn cais. i gyflawni uchelgais sero net Cymru ar gyfer 2030. Cyhoeddir y siaradwyr yn fuan.
Byddant yn cynnwys enghreifftiau arloesol o arferion gorau ar draws y sector ac yn rhoi cyfle i rwydweithio wyneb yn wyneb â chydweithwyr o bob rhan o Gymru.
Mae'r digwyddiad hwn wedi'i gynllunio ar gyfer mynychwyr y sector cyhoeddus - nid y'wn costi i'w fynychu, ond mae lleoedd yn gyfyngedig a rhaid eu cadw ymlaen llaw.
Dywedodd rheolwr rhaglen Salix, Joan Dayap: “Rydym wrth ein bodd i fod yn dal y Daith i sero net Cymru unwaith eto eleni, yn dilyn llwyddiant digwyddiadau’r llynedd. Edrychwn ymlaen at arddangos a dathlu’r prosiectau a gyflawnwyd gan y sector cyhoeddus ledled Cymru yn ei ymdrechion i ddatgarboneiddio ac anelu at uchelgais sero net 2030.”
“Mae uchelgais sylweddol yng Nghymru i ysbrydoli a chyflawni newid ac ni allwn aros i weld pa drafodaethau a ddaw o’r digwyddiadau.”
