Celebrating Scotland’s progress toward net zero 2045 ambitions
Thanks to everyone who came to see us at this year’s Net Zero Scotland Projects Conference
Decarbonising our cities, regions and built environment, accelerating the transition towards net zero transport, infrastructure and mobility and sharing knowledge and innovation to tackle the climate emergency were top of the agenda at this year’s Net Zero Scotland Projects Conference.
Held at Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, the special 10th anniversary conference invited key stakeholders to share, collaborate and network for the purpose of progressing the net zero agenda to make things happen at pace and scale.
Chaired by John Curtis from the Net Zero Club, hundreds of participants from public and private sector organisations across Scotland and the wider UK came together to focus and discuss how their work supports successful outcomes for people and the planet.
The day kicked off at 9.30am with a presentation from a panel of experts speaking to the challenges of decarbonising our built environment.
Patrick Harvie MSP, minister for zero carbon buildings, air travel and tenants rights at The Scottish Government, spoke about the opportunities and challenges facing the public sector.
He emphasised the importance of transforming the way we heat our buildings and how funding is key to unlocking projects that will support the net zero transition.
We joined the event as a gold sponsor, giving us the opportunity of an exhibition spot as well as a 10-minute speaking slot.
We used this as an opportunity to highlight how the funding schemes we deliver on behalf of government have unlocked decarbonisation works across Scotland and the UK.
Acting as exhibitors, our team was on site to meet attendees to answer questions about our funding schemes and how we can support project delivery and success.
Our assistant director of programmes Chiara Lorenzetti presented. She said: “For us, it’s not just about allocating the funds, we pride ourselves on our ability to successfully support the delivery of projects that reduce carbon emissions and contribute towards net zero ambitions.
“We actively exchange knowledge and lessons, learning from recipients and stakeholders alike. We provide support to overcome challenges and achieve success by leveraging the experience gained from our various schemes, both in Scotland and throughout the wider UK.”

The day was filled with insight, connection, ambition and a focus on the challenges and opportunities that face the sector and which we must overcome to meet the targets set.
Chiara added: “It was a fantastic day with a clear message on the need to work collaboratively to achieve net zero targets and a low-carbon future together.”
