The funding schemes we deliver enables the public sector to reduce carbon emissions in line with the Scottish Government’s commitment to becoming net zero by 2045.

Our fascinating programmes provide valuable funding to deliver capital energy efficiency and heat decarbonisation projects across the public sector, including for local authorities, universities and arms length external bodies in Scotland. These programmes are eligible for the public sector organisations only, please view the individual scheme details for further eligibility information.

Funding availability

Listed below are public sector funding schemes delivered by our teams. The status displayed will show if a scheme has been recently announced and is open or closed for applications.

Ongoing support  

Although some of our programmes are now closed for applications, there is a wealth of information on our site, including guidance, that people interested in decarbonising their estates will be interested in reading. We continue to post relevant information for each scheme throughout project delivery. Our expert teams across delivery, carbon, energy and tech as well as finance work are happy to guide you through the decarbonisation journey.

We would like to hear from Scottish public sector bodies about your future potential applications that would require funding delivered through Salix, should funding become available.

We would appreciate it if you would complete our expression of interest form which can be downloaded below, and return it by Friday 14 February at 4pm. This will help us, alongside Scottish Government, to understand the appetite for funding, support budget allocation across the various funding schemes and help us tailor future phases of the schemes.

The information supplied will help affirm your interest in the scheme(s), it does not guarantee funding or confirm future availability of funding.
