About the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme
Our teams at Salix have been delivering the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme since its launch in 2020. The initiative provides grants to public sector organisations to implement energy saving and carbon reducing technologies in their buildings.
Since 2020 we have supported hundreds of projects across England and have launched multiple rounds of the scheme with the aim of reducing emissions from public sector buildings by 75% by 2037, compared to a 2017 baseline.
We deliver the scheme on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, working closely with the Department to ensure we offer the very best service.
We work with hospitals, universities, local authorities, emergency services, schools and academies as well as central government departments and more supporting them on their net zero journey.
Our job is to support organisations throughout the process, from their initial application to the time they complete their project and are monitoring the results.
Throughout this work we are keen to share learning, expertise and knowledge. We are passionate about helping the public sector achieve their carbon reducing ambitions.
