Salix appoints three new Board members

We are pleased to announce three appointments to Salix Finance Board of Directors: Alison Jeffers and David Conroy are appointed as non-executive members and Andy Gillies as interim executive director of finance and resources. Their extensive experience and leadership will support the company’s strategic growth and governance.
Alison Jeffers - non-executive director
Alison is a highly experienced executive and non-executive director with over 30 years in the energy and telecommunications sectors. She has been serving as interim chair of the Audit Risk and Assurance Committee since 1 April 2024.
With deep expertise in technology, governance, risk management, and delivering complex change, Alison has led large-scale infrastructure projects in senior roles at Landis+Gyr, Vodafone, and Verizon. She is also a board member at:
- Plunkett UK – a charity supporting rural community businesses
- First Garden Cities Homes – a housing association providing affordable homes to over 2,000 households in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire
- HTS Group Ltd – delivering repairs, facilities management, and environmental services in the Harlow community
David Conroy – non-executive director
David is a non-executive director and charity trustee with a background in management consulting. He has worked most recently as an independent consultant and previously as a partner in two global consultancy firms.
He is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and holds a degree in social sciences.
David currently chairs LHA London, a housing charity providing hostel accommodation primarily for young people who want to live, work, or study in central London.
Andy Gillies – interim executive director
Andy is a chartered accountant with finance and commercial experience from roles in the public and charity sectors.
Most recently, he was director of finance and commercial for Gov Facility Services Limited, an arm’s length body of the Ministry of Justice.
Before that, he held senior finance and corporate services roles in health regulators and charities. He has also spent several years at the National Audit Office and HM Treasury.
