We've been shortlisted for the 2025 Green Energy Awards

We’re thrilled to announce that Salix has been shortlisted for the Local and Public Sector Net Zero Transformation category at the 2025 Green Energy Awards, hosted by Regen.

Our nomination highlights our collaborative work with the Parrs Wood High School and Sixth Form, showcasing our commitment to driving meaningful change in the local public sector.

This prestigious award recognises the vital role of local and public sector leadership in transforming the UK’s energy system towards a zero-carbon future through innovative projects, ambitious leadership, and supportive policy frameworks.

The Green Energy Awards are a leading national celebration of innovation and sustainable development in the UK’s energy sector. This year, more than 120 entries were submitted across seven categories by companies, communities, and individuals striving for a cleaner energy future.

“I’m delighted that the Priory Federation of Academies Trust has been shortlisted for this award.

"Collaborating on their decarbonisation efforts has been incredibly rewarding. Their initiatives and ambitious goals have significantly reduced emissions and created a lasting positive impact on the local community.”

Chris Baker

"The journey to carbon neutrality for any public body is a marathon, not a sprint.

"While students and staff have worked hard to bring about change, financial constraints often dictate the pace of progress.

"Without realistic financial support, making the necessary steps simply isn’t feasible. Long-term partnerships are essential to achieving carbon neutrality, and that’s why the government, through Salix management, plays a crucial role in making this goal a reality."
