Project overview

As part of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, Windsor Academy Trust has been awarded a total of £2,470,601 in government funding under Phase 1 and 2 of the grant scheme, which it is investing in seven schools across the West Midlands. It is estimated the technologies installed will provide lifetime carbon savings of 8,231 tonnes.

The updates include:

  • Air Source Heat Pump fitted at 1 school
  • Solar panels fitted at 4 schools
  • LED Lighting fitted at 5 schools
  • Heating controls fitted at 6 schools
  • Double glazing fitted at 4 schools
  • Metering works implemented at 9 schools

 

The improvements that have taken place through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme will go a significant way in helping us achieve our goals and reach net zero by 2030. I am proud of the work that continues to take place across the school.
