Phase 4 Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme - Phase 4 PSDS videos

Welcome to our Phase 4 Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme video page.

Alongside the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero we have produced a series of Phase 4 Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme videos. These are designed to help you navigate the new scheme.

An ambitious green scheme aimed at enabling public buildings to achieve net zero and switch to cleaner heating and save on energy bills has launched today.

The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme is available to help schools, hospitals and other public sector buildings decarbonise their sites. The scheme, run by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and delivered by teams at Salix, helps organisations fund new insulation, double glazing and low-carbon heating.

A number of changes have been made to Phase 4 of the scheme which are detailed in the Phase 4 guidance notes on the Phase 4 area of our website.

We’re delighted to announce the launch of Phase 4 of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme.

A number of changes have been made to Phase 4 of the scheme which are detailed in the Phase 4 Guidance Notes on the Phase 4 area of our website. Our Phase 4 website area also has a number of other key documents and videos to help navigate the scheme.

In our short video, our carbon and technical experts Becca, Christian and Seb answer some frequently asked questions related to some of the changes made through this new phase of the scheme.

Moving in to Phase 4 of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, we'll be targeting funding for the best value-for-money applications we receive. So, to have the best chance at receiving funding, applicants will need to make sure their applications are as cost effective as possible. This will be measured by their grant carbon cost.

This short video, produced by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, has been designed to support you to identify which parts of your application will be grant funded so you can then optimise your grant carbon cost.

Moving into Phase 4 of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, we're making some changes to how grant funding is allocated. We're replacing the first-come, first-served system those who've applied to the scheme before will be familiar with, with a targeted allocation system that helps the most cost-effective carbon saving projects access funding first. That'll operate alongside a soft sector cap policy from previous phases.

This short video, produced by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, has been designed to support you to understand how this targeted allocation will work.
